Event overview
The Frosty 5K and Jingle Bell Mile take place on December 24, 2025 in Blacksburg, VA (1413 North Main Street, 24060). The event includes two races:
- Frosty 5K
- Jingle Bell Mile
This is the 23rd annual Frosty 5K and the 10th and final race in the 2025 RunAbout Race Series. Net proceeds will be donated to a charity chosen by participants. The event offers door prizes.
Course, schedule and fees
The Frosty 5K is a rolling course on bike paths and neighborhood roads in the Shenandoah area, finishing with a short grass loop on even terrain. The course features a faster first mile, an aid station just past two miles, and a more demanding final mile. The Jingle Bell Mile is an out-and-back on the same grass loop and bike paths.

- RunAbout Sports on December 23: 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
- At the race on December 24: 11:30 am - 12:45 pm
Pricing for the Frosty 5K: $29 if registered on or before November 24 (includes long-sleeve shirt), $31 after November 24, $33 after December 16, and $36 on race day. Participants who register on or before December 10 are guaranteed a long-sleeve shirt; later registrants may choose from remaining sizes while supplies last. The Jingle Bell Mile is free. Awards are given to overall top three male and female and top three in listed age groups. Volunteer shifts are two hours or less. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
