Blackpool Summer Run
The Blackpool Summer Run takes place on Sunday 11 July 2027 and offers two road races along the Promenade, starting on the Comedy Carpet in the shadow of the Blackpool Tower. The course is closed to traffic and runs alongside the sea.

Pre-registration is essential; no entries are available on the day once the event reaches capacity. Entry fees are listed as 10k £26.50 and 5k £20.00, with a discount available for England Athletics affiliated runners. Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis and all entries are subject to the event Terms and Conditions. Minimum ages are 15 years and over for the 10k and 11 years and over for the 5k.
Race day arrangements include on-site event registration for race number collection and the option to collect bibs in advance from the race office in the week before the event. Pre-ordered technical t-shirts can be collected from the merchandise point. Portable toilets will be available near the event village, and a free secure baggage storage service operates with pre-attached baggage labels. Bottled water is provided at regular intervals on the course and at the finish. Professional medical cover and mobile medical teams will be on site. Both distances are chip timed and live results are published online. Event photography will be taken and free downloadable photos are provided.
