Blackpool Summer Run 10K and 5K
The Blackpool Summer Run is scheduled for Sunday 11 July 2027 and takes place along the Promenade, starting at the Comedy Carpet in the shadow of Blackpool Tower. The course is closed to traffic and follows the seafront, with bottled water available at regular intervals and at the finish.
Both distances are professionally chip timed and live results are published online after the race. Event photographers will be positioned around the course and at the finish, with free downloadable photos available after the event. A free, secure baggage storage facility and portable toilets will be provided within the event village. Medical cover is provided on site with mobile teams positioned around the course.
Race numbers (bibs) can be collected on race day from the Event Registration area before the start, or in advance from the Blackpool office during the week leading up to the event. Pre-ordered technical t-shirts and other merchandise can be collected at the event merchandise point.
Entries must be pre-registered; no entries are available on the day once the event reaches capacity. Places are allocated on a first come, first served basis and all entries are subject to event Terms and Conditions. England Athletics affiliated runners receive a discounted entry fee. Prize vouchers are emailed after the event with age-category and overall placings for the 10K and 5K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
