About the race
The Blackpool Santa Dash on Sunday 6 December 2026 is a festive community event that takes place on Blackpool Promenade, starting beneath Blackpool Tower at the Festival Headlands. Participants run, jog or walk a 3 km traffic-free route that uses a new road-closed section of the promenade for 2026 and returns to the finish line along the seafront.
Entry options and fees are published for adults, children and families: adult £15.00, child £9.00, family (two adults and two children) £39.00 with the discount applied at checkout. Entry includes a Santa suit and a finishers medal. Organisers state there is no minimum fundraising requirement, but each participant is asked to try to raise £30 to support Brian House Children’s Hospice. Brian House provides specialist care and respite for children with life-limiting illness in Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre free of charge.
Sponsors for the event include the Kentown Wizard Foundation. Some participants have noted practical benefits such as use of Sandcastle facilities and free parking at past events.
