Event Details
The Blacklight Run DFW is an evening 5K event held at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas. The event is organized by Viral Run. Participants are encouraged to wear a white shirt.
The Run
The event is a non-competitive run of up to three miles. The focus is not on speed or distance. Participants can sprint, run, or walk the course. Participants will be covered in UV Glow Powder that glows in designated Blacklight Zones and at the After Party.
Schedule & Logistics
Packet pickup details are emailed before the event. A photo ID is required for packet pickup. There is a $5 fee for race day packet pickup. People can pick up packets for others if they have the confirmation email and waiver. On race day, waves of runners are released from the starting line every 2-5 minutes. A race bib is required to be on the course. A pre-race party with music and free glow gear starts 45 minutes before the run. An after-party features glow powder and blacklights. Spectators are allowed at no charge in an open viewing area. Carpooling is encouraged.
Additional Information
Parking is available for up to $20, cash only. There is no bag check facility. A water station is located on the course and at the finish line. Refunds are not offered. Ticket transfers to another athlete are possible. Pre-ordered merchandise must be picked up by race start time. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
