The Black Friday Turkey Trot takes place on November 27, 2026, at North Lakes Park in Denton, TX. The organizer is Run Different. The event offers multiple participation options:
- Kid's Dash - short 100-200 meter sprint, free to enter
- 5K
- 1 Mile (untimed)

Details
Registration prices listed in the event information are $35 for the 5K, $18 for the 1 Mile, $40 for the Virtual Option, and $0 for the Kid's Dash. The 1 Mile is an untimed event and has no group awards. The 5K is eligible for age group awards and overall awards. Age groups are awarded four deep in male and female divisions from 0-4 up to 80+. Awards are also given to Male and Female Overall Winners, Male and Female Masters Winners (40+), and Male and Female Grand Masters Winners (60+). Awards are distributed at the event and will not be shipped. Registration for some events may have price changes after May 31, 2026. The Virtual Option includes shipping of shirt and medal the week of the race. Volunteers receive a code for a free race entry as a thank-you.
