The 2026 Black Friday 5k & 10k takes place at Frying Pan Park in Herndon, Virginia on November 27. The event offers both on-site and virtual participation options and awards chip timing and finish rewards.

Points from this event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack series, and also toward the organizer's Fall Series. Walkers are welcome to attend.
The course layout is two laps for the 5k and four laps for the 10k. The route combines a technical trail with rocks and roots and a mostly light gravel dirt road that is fairly flat. Water stations are placed at approximately mile 1.55 on the 5k and at about miles 1.55, 3.10 and 4.65 on the 10k; some stations include Gatorade. Restrooms are located near the playground.
Participant services include a finisher's coin, a technical Drifit event shirt (shirts guaranteed for registrations received before November 16), and chip timing. Packet pickup and race day registration are available at the venue; organizers advise arriving about one hour before the event to check in. Live results will be posted online and via an on-site QR code, with final results and series points published the Monday after the race.
