Event details
The Janney 5K & Fun Run is the 15th running of the Janney Elementary School race, held in Washington, DC at Janney Elementary School (4130 Albemarle Street NW, 20016). The event includes a 5K and a 1-mile Fun Run, an opening ceremony in front of the school, and a closing ceremony near the turf field behind the school where awards are presented. Awards will be given to top male and female overall runners, top students and top teachers, and top runners in each age category. Race packets including race t-shirts, bibs, and a swag bag are available for pickup the week of the race at Janney Elementary.

Registration uses early and standard pricing windows. Early registration fees are $40 for the 5K and $20 for the Fun Run (until October 3). Standard registration fees are $45 for the 5K and $25 for the Fun Run (mid-October through mid-November). Packet pickup is scheduled at Janney Elementary on Thursday, November 13 and Friday, November 14 from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm. There is no on-site registration on the morning of the race. A family sponsorship option is available for $120; sponsorships are applied to the race t-shirt back. Fee assistance is available by contacting the race organizers or the school.
