Janney 5K & Fun Run - Washington, DC
The Janney 5K & Fun Run is the 15th running of the Janney Elementary School race, held on November 14, 2026 at Janney Elementary School, 4130 Albemarle Street NW, Washington, DC 20016. The event program includes an opening ceremony before the 5K and a closing awards ceremony after the Fun Run.
Events include:
- 5K at Janney Elementary School
- 1 mile Fun Run around the school community
Registration is required and fees apply; registration opens September 6, 2026. There is no on-site registration on race day. Packet pick up is scheduled the week of the race at Janney Elementary, when participants can collect race t-shirts, bibs, and a swag bag; alternate arrangements may be made to have another person pick up packets.
Awards will be presented for top male and female overall, top students, top teachers, and top runners in each age category. The event is organized as a community school event with participation supported by the Janney PTA and local sponsors. If registration fees present a barrier to participation, organizers invite interested participants to contact the school for assistance.
