Black Bear Trail Races
The Black Bear Trail Races take place in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire. They are hosted by White Mountain Endurance. The event offers four different trail running distances.
The available races are:
- 50K
- 23K
- 4 Mile
- 1 Mile Fun Run
All courses start and finish near the Waterville Valley Town Square. The 50K route features approximately 7,700 feet of cumulative elevation gain, passing over Snow's Mountain, East Osceola, Osceola, and Tecumseh peaks. The 23K course uses what is described as the oldest maintained trail network in the United States. The 4 Mile route travels through White Mountain forests and streams.
All participants receive finisher's medals and post-race snacks. The event is cup-less; runners must bring their own hydration system, as disposable cups are not provided at aid stations.
