Birmingham Running Festival July 2026
The Birmingham Running Festival takes place at Sutton Park in the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield. The event features multiple distance options for participants, including a junior race and three adult categories. The course follows a mix of road and gravel terrain throughout the park grounds.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- Half Marathon with an elevation gain of 306m
- 10 km with an elevation gain of 144m
- 5 km with an elevation gain of 72m
- Junior Race with an elevation gain of 14m
All entries include a unique themed medal and chip-timed results. Participants also receive free race photos and post-race goodies at the finish line. The event features a central village area providing various food and drink options. Marshals are positioned throughout the course to provide guidance and support to runners.
The festival supports the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, an organization providing helicopter-led emergency medical services and pre-hospital care. Technical t-shirts with the event logo are available as an optional purchase rather than being included in the standard entry fee to prioritize sustainability and reduce the cost for those who do not require one.
