Summer 10K - Coombe Abbey Park
Summer 10K is a 10 km trail event held at Coombe Abbey Park on the outskirts of Coventry. The park is managed by Coventry City Council and is about six minutes from Junction 2 of the M6; the nearest train station is Coventry. Onsite parking is charged up to £3 for 1 to 2 hours and there is a toilet block next to the event headquarters.
The course runs through woodland, meadow and over grass fields. Surfaces can vary with weather and may be muddy, firm or rock hard. Runners should expect exposed tree roots, uneven ground and a few gates to navigate. The route is undulating but not hilly and includes open views along parts of the course.
Dogs are not permitted due to likely warm conditions. The organiser will provide biodegradable cups with water and electrolyte on course; participants may bring a collapsible cup. Entry uses tiered pricing: £16 before 10/06/2026 and £21 after that date, with an extra £2 for unaffiliated entrants; no booking fee is charged.
The event has run previously and received a Racecheck Gold Award in 2024 plus high participant review scores. There is a charity partnership with Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity and an option for a tree token instead of a medal.
