Summer 10k : Coombe Abbey Park, Coventry
The Summer 10k is a 10 km trail event taking place on 10 July 2026 at Coombe Abbey Park, CV3 2AB, on the outskirts of Coventry. The route is run over two laps through woodland, meadow and grass fields and includes on-course water provision.
The surface varies with the weather and can be muddy, firm or very hard. Participants should expect exposed tree roots, uneven ground and a few gates to navigate. The course is undulating but not hilly. Runners visit the water station four times. Biodegradable cups will be available on the route and foldable cups are permitted.
Facilities at the venue include a toilet block next to the event headquarters. Parking is available on site and costs up to £3 for 1-2 hours. The park is near Junction 2 of the M6 and the closest train station is Coventry. A GPX of the route is provided but the route may be subject to last-minute changes; course markings will be in place on the day.
Entry fees follow a tiered structure: before 10/06/2026 the fee is £17, after that date £22. Unaffiliated entrants pay an extra £2. The event provides a medal and goodies or an alternative tree token that funds a planted tree and contains wildflower seeds. There is an effective cut-off of about 2 hours. Dogs are not permitted due to likely warm conditions. The organisers offer an option to make a donation to Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity.
