Summer 10K

The Summer 10K is a Big Bear Events race scheduled for 10 July 2026 at Coombe Abbey Park, Coventry. The advertised distance is 10k. Entry uses tiered pricing and unaffiliated entrants pay an extra £2. The event is open to entrants aged 16 and over on the race date. There is an effective cut-off of two hours for the course. The event has previously received a Racecheck Gold Award and has over 150 reviews averaging 4.8 out of 5.

Location and logistics

The venue is Coombe Abbey Park (CV3 2AB) on the outskirts of Coventry. The park is about 6 minutes from Junction 2 of the M6; the closest train station is Coventry. Parking on site costs up to £3 for 1-2 hours. A toilet block is located next to the event headquarters. A What3Words location and a GPX file of the route are provided by the organiser.

Course and services

The route runs through woodland, meadow and grass fields with exposed tree roots, uneven surfaces and several gates. It is undulating but not hilly and is described as two laps that pass the water station four times. Biodegradable cups with water or electrolyte will be available on course; runners may bring a foldable cup if they wish. Dogs are not permitted due to likely warm conditions.
