Summer 10K - Coombe Abbey Park, Coventry
Summer 10K is an organised 10k race at Coombe Abbey Park in Coventry, managed by Coventry City Council. The venue is on the outskirts of Coventry (CV3 2AB), about six minutes from Junction 2 of the M6; the closest train station is Coventry. Parking on site typically costs up to £3 for 1-2 hours and there is a toilet block next to the event headquarters.
The course runs through woodland, meadow and grass fields. Surfaces vary with weather and can be muddy, firm or rock hard; there are exposed tree roots, uneven ground and a small number of gates to navigate. The route is described as undulating but not hilly. Biodegradable cups with water and electrolyte will be available on the course; participants may use a foldable or collapsible cup if preferred.
Entry uses tiered pricing: before 10/06/2026 the entry fee is £16, after that date it is £21. Unaffiliated entrants pay an extra £2. The event has a partnership with Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity and offers an option to set up fundraising or make a donation during registration; donations indicated go directly to the charity. An alternative to a medal is a Big Bear Tree Token, which funds tree planting and includes wildflower seeds. The effective cut-off time is two hours based on medic cover and sunset considerations.
