Summer 10k at Coombe Abbey Park
Summer 10k is a 10 km trail event on 10 July 2026 at Coombe Abbey Park, Coventry, organised by Big Bear Events. The course is made up of two laps through woodland, meadow and grass fields and includes four visits to the water station. The route is undulating but not hilly.
Surface conditions vary with recent weather and may be muddy, firm or hard. Runners can expect exposed tree roots, uneven ground and a few gates to pass. A GPX file of the route is available and the course will be waymarked on the day. Medals and goodies are provided; there is also an alternative tree token instead of a medal, which includes a tree planting and a wildflower seed token.
Onsite facilities include a toilet block next to the event headquarters and parking that costs up to £3 for 1 to 2 hours. The park lies on the outskirts of Coventry and is about six minutes from Junction 2 of the M6; the nearest train station is Coventry. Dogs are not permitted because conditions may be too warm for them. Biodegradable cups will be used at the drink station and runners may bring a collapsible cup. The event operates a two hour medical booking which effectively sets the cut off for the course.
Entry fees are tiered: before 10 June 2026 the fee is £17, after that it is £22. Unaffiliated entrants pay £2 extra.
