Event overview

The Summer 10K takes place on 10 July 2026 at Coombe Abbey Park in Coventry (CV3 2AB). The race distance is 10k, run as effectively two laps of a marked woodland and meadow route. There is an effective cut-off of two hours, set by medics booked for the event. Entrants receive a medal and goodies; an alternative Tree Token is available instead of a medal that results in a tree being planted and includes wildflower seeds.

Course and logistics

The route runs through woodland, meadow and grass fields with exposed tree roots, uneven surfaces and a few gates. It is described as undulating but not hilly. Surface conditions may vary with weather and can be muddy, firm or rock hard. Runners pass the water station four times; biodegradable cups and electrolyte are provided on course. Dogs are not permitted. Parking on site costs up to £3 for 1-2 hours and there is a toilet block next to the event HQ. Coombe Abbey Park is on the outskirts of Coventry, about 6 minutes from Junction 2 of the M6; the nearest train station is Coventry. Pricing is tiered with earlier entries cheaper and unaffiliated entrants paying £2 extra. The event has previously won a Racecheck Gold Award in 2024 and has over 150 reviews averaging 4.8 out of 5.
