Event Overview

The Summer 10k is a 10 km running event held at Coombe Abbey Park in Coventry.

Course Details

The route takes runners through woodland, meadow, and grass fields. The terrain may be muddy or hard, depending on prior weather, and features exposed tree roots, uneven surfaces, and a few gates. The course is described as undulating but not hilly.

Event Information

The event has a cut-off time of two hours. Dogs are not permitted. Water and electrolyte drinks will be available on course in biodegradable cups; participants are welcome to bring their own collapsible cup. All finishers receive a medal and goodies, or as an alternative, a Big Bear Tree Token that results in a tree being planted and contains wildflower seeds.

Pricing

Entry operates on a tiered pricing system without booking fees. The price is £16 before June 10, 2026, and £21 after that date. Unaffiliated runners pay an extra £2. Participants can optionally set up a fundraising page or make a donation for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity during registration.

Venue & Access

Coombe Abbey Park (CV3 2AB) is on the outskirts of Coventry, approximately six minutes from Junction 2 of the M6. The closest train station is in Coventry.
