Bill Bruno Alumni Cross Country Run : Holmdel Park, NJ
The Bill Bruno Alumni Cross Country Run is a road-to-trail event held at Holmdel Park, 44 Longstreet Road, Holmdel, NJ 07733. The main race is a 5K on the park’s traditional cross-country course; the 1 and 2 mile points are marked on the route. The event includes both individual and team competition.
Three team categories are contested in the 5K: high school and college teams with alumni, club and open fun teams (club, family, friends, business, or similar), and co-ed teams that must include one finisher of each gender. Team scoring uses each team’s top three finishers; a team’s fourth and fifth runners may displace runners from other teams. Awards are planned for the top three teams in each category and for the biggest overall team.
Individual awards include the top three male and female overall finishers and the top three male and female masters (age 40+). Chip timing and live results will be provided by Viper Timing, with results posted after the race.
Field size is limited and the first 150 entrants will receive a commemorative Bill Bruno Alumni Run mug. Parking is available on site in multiple lots near the pavilion, playground, and start hill. Proceeds benefit the Shore Athletic Club, a 501c3 nonprofit that supports youth and teen running activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
