Shark Week Showdown at Oyster Creek Park
Shark Week Showdown is an ocean themed running event at Oyster Creek Park in Sugar Land, Texas, organized by Bigfoot Running Company. The event includes in-person and virtual options and uses parks and greenbelts for course routes. Packet pickup is available the morning of the races and opens 1.5 hours before race start; volunteers check in at the registration tent.

- 1 Mile, not chip timed
- 5K, 3.11 miles, chip timed
- 10K, 6.22 miles, chip timed
- Volunteer Then Run 5K, chip timed bib included
- Virtual Run, 9.33 miles
The event supplies race tees and finisher medals for the 1 Mile, 5K, 10K, and a special Kids Dash medal. There are aid stations along the course, music at the start and finish areas, and a mix of pavement, crushed granite, and some dirt paths on course routes. Age group awards are given for the 5K and 10K with multiple age brackets; overall male and female winners receive a Bigfoot trophy and first masters receive recognition pins.
Volunteer roles are provided for packet pickup, water stations, course monitoring, finish line help, sweepers, floaters, lead bike, and a mascot role. Volunteer Then Run places are limited. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
