TC Jester Half Marathon & 10k : Houston, TX
This event on TC Jester Boulevard in Houston offers two unofficial looped runs on and around the TC Jester bridge and adjacent bayou. Registration for the races is free. Race registration opens 2026-04-17 and closes 2026-08-10. Volunteer registration opens 2026-05-26 and closes 2026-08-22; organizers note they need about two volunteers.

The course follows a repeated loop that uses the southwest side of the TC Jester bridge, crosses the bridge, descends to the bayou, passes under TC Jester, and returns via a ramp back up to the bridge. The half marathon repeats this loop about ten times to reach roughly 13 miles; the 10K repeats it about four times.
Organizers describe the event as an unofficial "fatass" run and characterize it as a punishing fun run. They will provide water and surprise goodies, and participants may leave a bag at the sag. Organizers state they are not responsible for participant health or safety. Donations to Council on Recovery are welcomed in memory of the event's original host.
