Summer Meltdown Half Marathon - Shreveport
The event takes place on 08/09/2026 at Stoner Avenue Skate Plaza in Shreveport, LA. Races use a course that runs through parks and trails with shaded sections; surfaces may include pavement, crushed granite, and dirt paths. Aid stations are positioned along the course to provide water and assistance.
Multiple distances are offered:
- Kids Dash about 20 yards for children 10 and under
- 1 Mile nonchip timed, includes a tee shirt and medal
- 5K 3.11 miles, chip timed with overall trophies and age group awards
- Quarter Marathon 6.55 miles, chip timed with overall trophies and age group awards
- Half Marathon 13.1 miles, chip timed with overall trophies and age group awards
- Volunteer then Run 5K 3.11 miles, includes chip timing and race items
- Virtual Run 13.1 miles
Standard age group awards and top overall recognitions are listed for timed distances, with trophies for 1st overall male and female and pins for age group places and masters categories. Packet pickup is offered beginning 1.5 hours before the start. A DJ will be on site and results and awards are available at the registration tent after finishing. Shirt guarantee cutoff is 10 days before the event. Volunteer roles include water station, course monitor, finish line helper, packet pickup, floater, lead bike, mascot, and sweeper.
