All finishers receive a medal and a shirt. The race also offers a belt-buckle style finisher medal, as described by the organizer. Aid stations with water are placed on the course. The course runs through parks and greenbelts and may include paved trails, crushed granite and occasional dirt paths.
Awards, contest and volunteer opportunities
Trophies are awarded to 1st overall male and female finishers; masters recognition is given for age 40+. Standard age-group pins are awarded across age brackets from 10 and under through 70+. A Cowboy Costume Contest will name one winner by crowd reaction; the prize package includes a free entry to a future Bigfoot race, a "Rodeo Runslinger" trophy and a prize pack. A mascot will be present and music will be played during the event. Volunteers can choose from multiple roles and certain volunteer options earn race benefits.
