Race features, awards and course
The 5K, Quarter Marathon and Half Marathon are chip timed. Standard age-group awards and overall trophies are offered for those three distances, including 1st overall male/female trophies and masters recognition pins for age 40+. Age-group pins are listed for multiple brackets from 10 and under through 70+. A costume contest is held at the start area with judges and a "Day of the Dead Best Costume Award" and prize package. Course surfaces may include paved trails, crushed granite and some dirt paths. Packet pickup is offered for 1.5 hours before the event start. Full race volunteers may receive a race shirt, souvenir medal (subject to availability), VIP access and a choice of a free future race entry or a $20 prepaid digital gift card.
