Heroes and Villains Half Marathon - Dallas
The Heroes and Villains Half Marathon is a multi-distance running event presented by Bigfoot Running Company, relocated to Fish Creek Neighborhood Park in Dallas, TX. The event offers in-person and virtual options and a mix of family-focused and timed races.
All finishers in every distance receive a medal and a shirt. Chip timing is provided for the 5K, Quarter Marathon (6.55 miles), and Half Marathon (13.1 miles). A pre-race costume contest awards a $25 gift card, a free future race entry, and a themed prize pack. Live music and finish line festivities include a DJ, awards ceremony, and on-site snacks and refreshments at a Race Rally Tent.
Course surfaces use local park and greenbelt trails with mostly paved sections plus some crushed granite and dirt paths. Aid stations are available along the routes. Packet pickup is available before the race. The event proceeds regardless of weather and follows a no-refund policy. Public park users such as dog walkers and families with strollers may be present on course and at venue areas.
Volunteer roles include water stations, course monitors, finish line helpers, packet pickup, lead bike, and a mascot role. A Volunteer Then Run option includes a chip-timed 5K entry and is limited in availability. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
