Heroes and Villains - Dallas
The Heroes and Villains event, hosted by the Bigfoot Running Company, takes place at Sam Houston Trail Park in Irving, Texas. This themed athletic gathering encourages participants to dress as superheroes or villains while navigating a course that features a variety of surfaces, including paved paths, crushed granite, and dirt sections. The event is held in a public park and greenbelt area, where runners share the space with other park users.
Participants can choose from several distances to suit their preferences:
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
- 6.55 Miles (Quarter Marathon)
- 3.11 Miles (5K Run)
- 1 Mile Run
- 20 Yards (Kids Dash)
The half marathon, quarter marathon, and 5K distances are chip-timed for accuracy. A virtual option is also available for those completing the half marathon distance remotely.
On-site amenities include a Race Rally Tent providing snacks and refreshments, a live DJ, and aid stations positioned along the course for hydration. All finishers receive a medal and a shirt. Competitive awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers, top masters, and the top three participants in various age groups ranging from 10 and under to 70 and over.
