Katy 5K
The Katy 5K is an annual community road race presented by Michelob ULTRA that takes place on the Katy Trail in Dallas. The 28th edition is scheduled for September 10, 2026 at Reverchon Park. The USATF certified 5K route passes scenic Turtle Creek, Uptown, and the heart of the Katy Trail and is officially timed using chip timing.
The event includes a finish-line picnic party with live DJ music, festival-style vendor activations, and photo opportunities. Participant benefits listed for standard registrations include a dry-fit recycled short-sleeve race shirt, a custom race bib, a finisher medal, two 12 oz Michelob ULTRA beverage options for guests 21 and over, and access to free food from 35+ local restaurants. One water station is located on the course and additional water is available at the finish area.
A VIP registration tier offers added amenities such as VIP tent access, a branded towel and shoe bag, a catered meal with seating, a complimentary beverage bar, specialty desserts, and a vintage photo bus. Youth registration is available for children 11 years and under with a modified race shirt.
The Katy 5K is also the organization’s largest fundraiser; proceeds support maintenance and improvements of the Katy Trail, including patrols, lighting, water, landscaping, and repairs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
