Event overview
The Bigfoot Classic - Dallas takes place on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Sam Houston Trail Park in Irving, TX. The event offers multiple race options, a costume contest, a kids dash, a race rally tent with snacks and drinks, and on-course aid stations. Awards and timing
Chip timing is used for the timed distances. The 5K, 10K, and 15K each offer 1st overall trophies for male and female finishers, masters recognition for age 40+, and age-group pins for standard age ranges from 10 and under through 70+. Results and live awards are available at the registration tent immediately after finishing.
Course, logistics and volunteers
The course runs through park and green-belt terrain with mixed surfaces such as paved trail, crushed granite, and occasional dirt paths. Packet pickup is offered for 1.5 hours before the start. Volunteers can sign up for roles including water stations, course monitors, finish-line helper, lead bike, mascot, and sweep; full volunteers earn a race shirt and a choice of a free future race entry or a $20 pre-paid digital gift card.
