Event overview
The Bigfoot Classic - Dallas takes place on January 10, 2026 at Sam Houston Trail Park, 7899 State Hwy 161, Irving, TX 75039. The event offers multiple race options including a kids dash, a non-chipped 1 mile, chip-timed road races, a volunteer-then-run option, and a virtual run. A DJ will provide music and runners are announced during the event. Aid stations will be on course to provide water.
Practical information
Distances offered:
- Kids Dash - typically about 50 meters, for ages 10 and under, not timed
- 1 Mile - not chip timed, includes shirt and medal
- 5K - 3.11 miles, chip timed, age group awards and overall trophies
- 10K - 6.22 miles, chip timed, age group awards and overall trophies
- 15K - 9.33 miles, chip timed, age group awards and overall trophies
- Volunteer then Run 5K - chip timed, limited to first 10 sign-ups
- Virtual Run
All finishers receive a medal and shirt. Standard awards for 5K, 10K and 15K include 1st overall male and female trophies, masters recognition for age 40+, and age-group pins for specified age brackets. A costume contest awards one crowd-chosen "Legendary Beast" trophy, a prize pack and a free entry to a future Bigfoot Classic.
