Annual Long Run 5K

The 28th Annual Long Run 5K is scheduled for Thursday, April 9, 2026, and starts and finishes at J.L. Long Middle School, 6116 Reiger Ave, Dallas, TX 75214.

This event is the only fundraiser sponsored by the J.L. Long Middle School PTA. Proceeds support the PTA budget for educational and arts enrichment such as the school musical and college fair; campus remodeling and improvement; student well-being and safety items like walkie talkies and the nurse clinic; student life and events including grade level dances, Buc Camp, and 8th grade graduation; the Peace Pantry; teacher wish list items and school supplies; and other PTA supported programs.

Packet pickup is scheduled for Wednesday, April 8, 2026 on the J.L. Long front lawn from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Every race registrant will receive dinner and a t-shirt, with a choice of dinner from Mexico Lindo or Chelsea Corner. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
