The Long Run
The Long Run takes place on April 8, 2027 at J.L. Long Middle School in Dallas and uses scenic courses along the Santa Fe Trail. The event begins and ends at the school at 6116 Reiger Avenue, Dallas, TX 75214, and is organized by the J.L. Long Middle School PTA.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 1K Family Fun Run/Walk
- 5K Run
The evening also features food trucks, entertainment, and student performances by Woodrow Cheer, J.L. Long Cheer, and the Treasurettes, with community activities after the races.
The Long Run is the largest fundraiser for the J.L. Long Middle School PTA. Proceeds support educational and arts enrichment, campus improvements, student health, safety, and well being, student events and activities, the Peace Pantry, teacher wish lists and classroom supplies, and other campus needs.
Sponsorships are tax deductible and available at multiple levels to provide community exposure while funding school programs. Adults and teens are welcome to volunteer, and service hours are available for students. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
