Turkey Shuffle - Carrollton
Turkey Shuffle is a running event on November 8, 2026 at Ted Polk Middle School in Carrollton, Texas. The event uses local parks and green belts and may include paved trails, crushed granite, and dirt paths.
The event offers multiple distances and formats:
- Kids Dash about 50 meters for children 10 and under
- 1 Mile untimed community run
- 5K (3.11 miles) chip timed
- 10K (6.22 miles) chip timed
- Volunteer then Run 5K limited option combining volunteer work with the 5K
- Virtual Run option for remote participation
All finishers of all distances receive a medal and shirt. The Kids Dash is untimed and includes a tee shirt, medal, and a Kids Dash recognition pin. The 5K and 10K include chip timing, overall trophies for male and female finishers, masters recognition pins, and standard age group awards across multiple age bands from 10 and under through 70 plus.
A costume contest awards a "Biggest Turkey" Trophy and a prize pack that includes a certificate for two future race entries, a HEB gift card, and a Bigfoot Running Company swag pack. Music will be provided by a DJ. Snacks and refreshments are available at the race rally tent and aid stations are placed on course.
