Event Overview
The Mardi Gras Madness event takes place on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Cravens Park in Arlington, Texas. It is hosted by Bigfoot Running Company and features a Mardi Gras theme with music and festivities.
Race Distances
The event offers several race options:
- Kids Dash: A non-timed dash of approximately 50 meters for participants aged 10 and under.
- 1 Mile Run: A non-timed, non-chipped run open to all ages.
- 5K Run (3.1 miles): A chip-timed race.
- 10K Run (6.22 miles): A chip-timed race.
- Volunteer then Run 5K: A combined volunteer and running opportunity.

Event Details
All registered participants receive a finisher medal and a race t-shirt. For the 5K and 10K events, awards are presented. These include the Bigfoot Trophy for the first overall male and female finishers, a recognition pin for the first masters (40+) finishers, and gold, silver, and bronze award pins for age group winners.
A Mardi Gras costume contest is held before the race, with the winner named Grand Marshal. During the race, volunteers distribute Mardi Gras beads at aid stations. A post-race celebration includes a DJ and an awards ceremony where awards are given live as finishers cross the line. The event takes place regardless of weather conditions.
