Event Overview
Big Steps For Little Feet 5K/1M is a community running event held at the Fort Athletic Club in Oceanport. The event supports the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Vogel Medical Campus and honors NICU patients and their families. Participants can choose between two primary distances:
- 5K Run (Timed)
- 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk (Not Timed)
Participant Experience
Registration for the event includes several amenities. Participants gain access to a race village and a dedicated fun zone. The post-race activities feature a program and access to food trucks, which includes a Kosher food option. Registered runners also receive a bib ticket that is redeemable at Birdsmouth Beer. Those who complete their registration by May 8th are eligible to receive a finisher medal and an event t-shirt.
Logistics
The event is scheduled for Sunday, June 7, 2026, and will take place rain or shine. Packet pick-up and day-of registration are available on-site at the Fort Athletic Club main entrance. Results for the timed 5K event are tracked via official race timing services.
