Big Miles for Little Smiles

Big Miles for Little Smiles : Jackson, MI

Big Miles for Little Smiles is the fourth annual fundraising event for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Jackson County, held at Ella Sharp Park on October 18, 2026. Proceeds support the organization’s mission to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships for youth.

Event distances:

• 5k Run/Walk (3.1 miles)
• Kids 1 Mile Fun Run for ages 12 and under; parents may accompany children at no extra cost

Registration fees vary by date: $25 through 8/31, $30 from 9/01 to 10/04, $35 from 10/05 to 10/17, and $40 on race day. Shirts are guaranteed with paid registration by end of day 10/04; youth sizes S-XL and adult sizes S-XXXL are offered and sizes are not guaranteed after 10/04. The Kids Fun Run fee is $10 with the same shirt guarantee deadline.

Team pricing offers a $5 discount per participant for teams of four or more. The discount is automatically applied or refunded once a team reaches four members before registration closes.

Early packet pick up is scheduled for October 16 at the YMCA, 127 W. Wesley St. Race day packet pick up will be available at the start area. The race will be chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation and results will be posted during the event and online. Awards include Largest Team, Most Spirited Team, and Largest Fundraising Team.
