Big Brothers Big Sisters Miles for Mentorship 2026
Big Brothers Big Sisters Miles for Mentorship is an outdoor 5K walk and run held at Hawk Island Park in Lansing, Michigan. The event starts and ends at the Red Tail Shelter and follows an out-and-back 5K course.
Event options include:
- 3.1 Miles 5K Run/Walk in person
- 3.1 Miles Virtual 5K Run/Walk
- Spooky Sprint Kids Run for children 12 and under
The Spooky Sprint Kids Run is free for children 12 years of age and younger; Halloween costumes are encouraged and each child receives a treat bag and finisher medal at the finish line. The in-person 5K is professionally chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation and results will be posted during the race and online. Proceeds from the event support Big Brothers Big Sisters Michigan Capital Region’s work to create one to one mentoring relationships so youth can achieve their potential.
