The Run Before The Roast
The Run Before The Roast is a community running event organized by Resurrection School in Lansing on September 19, 2026, held at 505 E. Michigan Avenue. The school is marking its 100th anniversary and proceeds from the event benefit Resurrection School.
The event program includes a professionally timed 5K run/walk, a Kids 1 Mile fun run (untimed), and kids relays. Participants receive a commemorative t-shirt offered in adult and youth sizes. After the races, there will be food, entertainment, and other activities as part of the Ox Roast festivities.

Registration opens July 1, 2026. Registration details and fees by event are provided by the organizer: the 5K has a registration fee of $30 and its registration closes September 6, 2026; the Kids 1 Mile and Kids Relays have registration fees of $15 and their registration closes on September 19, 2026.
