The Capital City River Run is a weekend running event on September 19 - 20, 2026 in Lansing, Michigan. The half marathon and 5K use Michigan Avenue and the Lansing River Trail and finish in front of Rotary Park in downtown Lansing. Half marathon and 5K participants receive a crew neck sweatshirt (choice of two colors) and a finisher medal. The event uses chip timing provided by the Michigan Running Foundation, with results posted online.
Kids races are held at the Impression 5 Science Center, with the one-mile course on the Lansing River Trail. Kids participants receive a stainless steel water bottle and a finisher medal, and are invited to spend time at the science museum with a post-race pizza party.
Entry fees listed are $72 for the half marathon, $39 for the 5K, and $10 for the kids races. Packet pick up is handled at the Impression 5 Science Center during the event weekend, including a pickup option the day before the main races.
