Beverly Hills Turkey Trot 5K
The Beverly Hills Turkey Trot 5K Run and Family Walk returns to the 19th Ward community on Saturday, November 28 at 9200 S. Hamilton in the historic North Beverly neighborhood. Now in its 18th year, the event expects over 2,200 participants and takes place on a CARA-certified, tree-lined 5K course.
Registration opens on August 15 and offers the following options: a chip-timed 5K run, an untimed Family Walk, and team registration. The 5K run is bib-tagged and timed by Lakeshore Athletic Services. Runners are divided by age and gender according to CARA guidelines; awards are presented by age group, with medals for adult winners and trophies for youth winners.
Those who register by the online deadline will be guaranteed a long-sleeved event shirt and a gift bag. Registrants who choose the sweatshirt upgrade by the stated deadline may receive a hooded sweatshirt; otherwise a long-sleeved T-shirt will be available at packet pick-up. Packet pick-up occurs in the week leading up to the event at local locations and on race day.
A breakfast will be hosted in the gym at Christ the King after the race; cost information is available for individual and family options. Proceeds benefit the 19th Ward Youth & Community Foundation and the John McNicholas Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. Republic Bank is listed as the presenting sponsor.
