Better Together 5K
The Better Together 5K is a community run and fundraiser held at Berea City Park in Berea, Kentucky. The event supports the Berea Food Bank and continues a long-running local tradition now in its 34th year, formerly known as the Hunger Hurts Food or Fund Drive.
Distances include:
- 5K (3.1 miles) chip timed on paved trail and roadway
- Kids Dash (400 yards) for children 10 and under, no awards
- Virtual 5K (3.1 miles) commemorative beanie provided with a donation
The 5K course is described as relatively flat and fast, routed through Berea City Park and the Berea City Trail. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in listed age groups (0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+). Wheelchairs, walkers, strollers and leashed dogs are permitted on course. Participants receive winter beanie or race caps and a fleece headband option is available. Free snacks and water are provided at the finish and free race photos are offered. Packet pickup is planned on race morning near the football field and bleachers at Berea City Park.
