Better Together 5K
The Better Together 5K is a community run and walk at Berea City Park in Berea, Kentucky that raises support for the Berea Food Bank. The event is presented as celebrating its 34th anniversary and includes in-person and virtual options.
Distances offered
- 5K 3.1 miles, chip timed on paved trail and roadway surfaces
- Kids Dash 400 yards for children age 10 and under
- Virtual Runner/Walker 3.1 miles for remote participation
The 5K offers awards for the top three male and top three female overall finishers and top three male and female finishers in these age groups: 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+. The Kids Dash does not offer awards; participating children receive a participation magnet and parents may run or walk with their child. The virtual option is paired with a donation to the Berea Food Bank and includes a commemorative race beanie.
Additional event features include a relatively flat course through Berea City Park and the Berea City Trail, choices of winter beanie or fleece headband apparel, welcome of wheelchairs walkers strollers and leashed dogs, free snacks and water at the finish, free race photos, and onsite music and food. Packet pickup is held race morning at Berea City Park near the football field and bleachers. Registration opens July 1; 5K registration closes October 7 while Kids Dash and virtual registration close November 7. Fees are listed per event.
