21st Annual Ben Layton 5K Run/Walk
The event is scheduled for May 16, 2026 in Salisbury, Maryland. It is presented as a community fundraising run and walk to raise money for Ben's Red Swings and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
The in-person course begins outside Ben's Red Swings, travels through the Salisbury Zoo, and finishes at Ben's Red Swings. A virtual 5K option is offered for participants who cannot join in person.
Available event distances and formats:
- 3.1 Miles : Ben Layton 5K and an age 17 and under division.
- 2 Miles : Ben Layton 2 mile FUN Walk and an age 17 and under division.
- 5K virtual option for all ages.
Registration opens December 8, 2025 and closes May 15, 2026 for the in-person events. The virtual option accepts registrations through May 16, 2026. Published registration fees are $25 for the standard 5K and walk, $10 for ages 17 and under, and $20 for the virtual 5K.
Event extras include custom designed socks guaranteed to the first 150 entrants and raffle prizes awarded on race day. The event will be held rain or shine. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
