Beerfoot Beer Run - A 5K Fun Run
The Beerfoot Beer Run is a 5k fun run that follows a mapped route starting and ending at Beerfoot Brewery on Seawall Blvd on Galveston Island. The route is described as approximately five kilometers and is open to running, walking, or jogging; all ages are welcome. The event takes place in conjunction with Yaga’s Chili Quest, Beers & Cheers and is scheduled for January 16, 2027.
Entry includes 5k registration and a public chili tasting ticket. Early registrants (first 100 runners) receive a fun event T-shirt and a participation medal. Participants aged 21 and over are eligible for three complimentary beers as part of the entry package. Tickets were noted as coming in fall 2026.
Packet pickup and a runners’ happy hour are held the day before at Beerfoot Craft & Draft, where participants receive a complimentary beer and happy hour specials. On the day of the run there are packet pickup and warm-up activities at Beerfoot, followed by a post-run celebration. After the run, activities continue downtown in the Historic Strand District at 23rd Street and Strand Street with a chili cook-off, beer fest, live music, and shopping.
Parking for the 5k is available on surrounding side streets and paid parking along Seawall. Downtown festival parking is available on streets and in paid lots. Participants acknowledge a waiver releasing Yaga’s Entertainment and related parties from liability for injury, illness, or loss. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
