The Beer City Half Bishop Ranch takes place in San Ramon, California, featuring a variety of distances held at Bishop Ranch and the surrounding areas. The event provides several course options:

The half marathon course loops around Annabel Lake before heading onto the Iron Horse Trail. Participants cross the Bollinger Canyon Bridge and continue toward a turnaround point in San Ramon. The 10k follows a similar path, crossing the bridge to a turnaround on the Iron Horse Trail. The 5k consists of a loop around Annabel Lake, while the Beer Stroll is a non-timed one-mile walk. The Beat The Beast Beer Mile requires participants to consume four beverages, running a quarter-mile between each.
Participants in the running events receive a race t-shirt, a 7-ounce tasting glass, and a finisher medal. Following the completion of the races, an unlimited tasting session is available for participants using the provided tasting glass.
