Event overview
Beer City Half™ Alameda takes place on July 11, 2026 at Radium Runway in Alameda Point. The festival combines road running and brewery-related events with a post-race festival at Faction Brewing and other Alameda locations. The Beer Stroll is a one-mile walk around Waterfront Park. The event includes multiple race formats and separate beverage-focused activities.

Additional activities include the Beat the Beast Beer Mile, in which competitors drink four 12-oz beers while running a mile and face elimination if overtaken by a designated "Beast"; The Beermazing Race, a scavenger-style challenge that requires visiting multiple breweries to drink a pint and follow clues; and a Beer Tasting event. The festival area features local and regional brewers.
What participants receive
Runners receive a shirt, a Key to Beer City finisher's medal, and a custom tasting glass. The post-race festival offers unlimited tasting at the festival for participants, and the Shindig ticket includes a first beer at Faction Brewing. Beat the Beast finishers receive a special medal.
