Beer Blazer 10 Mile, 6M & Fun Run
Held on 17 May 2026 in Beer, East Devon, this event offers multiple distances and is organised by members of Beer Primary School PTFA and the Beer Primary School Blazer Committee. It is a not for profit race raising funds for Beer Primary School PTFA.
Distances
- 10 mile
- 6 mile
- 1 mile fun run
New routes for 2026 avoid the rocky fields at the start. The course starts in the fields above Pecorama and finishes at Beer Primary School. The 10 mile route includes over 1600 ft of elevation and passes a mix of fields, tracks, cliff tops, open common, the pebble beach between Branscombe and Beer Head, the Undercliffs and the stairway to heaven, with views of the Jurassic Coast. The 6 mile follows much of the same terrain but is shorter and involves less vertical gain.
There is a cut off on the 10 mile route at the 2 mile water station by Sea Shanty cafe; runners who do not meet this cut off will be directed to follow the beach route to complete the 6 mile course. On the day there will be a BBQ and refreshments at the primary school and Race HQ is located at the primary school at the bottom of the car park.
Entry fees are £22 for the 10 mile, £17 for the 6 mile and £5 for the fun run, with a £2 discount for affiliated athletes. Some entry options use waiting lists and no payment is required while awaiting an offered place. Prizes are awarded for top finishers and the fun run provides mementoes for finishers. Minimum ages are 17 for the 10 mile and 15 for the 6 mile; children under 11 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The event is organised under ARC rules and holds a race permit number to be confirmed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
