Event overview
The Beer & BBQ 5k Run/Walk is scheduled for October 3, 2026, at The Mill in Fountain Inn, SC (100 Ellison St Building A, Fountain Inn, SC 29644). The event is part of the Upstate Race Series and donates proceeds to the Upstate Running Club Youth Team. The run is a 5k with chip timing and live results, finisher medals, custom race bibs, event-themed giveaways, race stickers, and complimentary race photos. The finish area includes beer availability (one per registration) and a post-race music and hangout area.
Course and logistics
The run course starts and finishes near downtown Fountain Inn, with the start adjacent to Main Street and the Fountain Inn taproom and the finish adjacent to The Mill. The course route passes through Holland Park.
Packet pickup is available one hour before the race at The Mill.
Registration and policies
Early listed pricing shows $19 (strikethrough $35) and $15 for ages 1-17; the price was set to increase after June 1, 2026 at 11:59pm EDT. Registered participants may transfer their entry to another person and may change their race distance through their RunSignUp profile. Race shirts are sold and shipped separately. Finisher medals and awards are not shipped. No refunds or deferrals are offered unless the event sells out; if sold out, a 50% off code for a future Upstate Race Series event may be requested.
Awards and series
Top 3 male and female overall receive trophies. First through third place in each age group receive an Age Group Series Medal at the conclusion of the event. Age group categories span from 0-9 through 80+. Volunteers can earn a free entry for a 3-hour shift on select Upstate Race Series-owned events.
