BMW Performance Classic two mile run and walk
The event is an annual two mile road race and walk held at the BMW Performance Center in Greer, South Carolina. It is presented as part of the Greenville Track Club Corporate Shield and is staged on a closed course on the Performance Center track. The course is mostly flat with a couple of small hills.
Participant capacity is capped at 450. All spectators must register at no charge and complete a waiver because the venue is in an area restricted to the public. Parking is available on site for participants, with an overflow lot across Highway 101 and a shuttle if on-site spaces are full; carpooling is encouraged and carpool participants receive a special door prize drawing ticket.
There is a minimum participant age of five years; children under that age are not expected to participate. Registered participants should be able to finish the course on their own. Strollers are permitted but should line up at the back of the field. Dogs are not permitted.
Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled at Fleet Feet, 635 Augusta St, Greenville. Race day packet pickup is also provided at the event. Optional event merchandise includes a running phone pouch and vintage shirts available for purchase for cash while supplies last. Hot laps will not be offered this year.
Awards are given to the top three finishers in multiple age and gender categories, and team awards are presented for Corporate Shield divisions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
