Nighttime Race in Greenville
The Faith & Freedom Run is an annual nighttime running event held in Greenville, South Carolina. The race is staged at Holland Park on Laurens Road, situated near the downtown area. Participants can choose between two main distances:
- 5K
- 10K
Both the 5K and 10K courses are officially certified and are run entirely along the Green Line section of the Prisma Health Swamp Rabbit Trail. As a nighttime event, participants are encouraged to bring a headlamp or flashlight for the course. The event is timed, allowing runners to track their individual performance.
The event is open to runners and walkers of all ages and fitness levels. While strollers are typically permitted on the course, pets are generally not allowed for safety reasons. Parking is available for participants at or near the Holland Park venue. Water is provided at the event.
The proceeds from the Faith & Freedom Run benefit SWITCH, a grassroots organization and Christian ministry founded in 2012. The organization works to end sex trafficking and sexual exploitation in the Upstate of South Carolina through advocacy, survivor support, outreach, and education. The event aims to bring awareness to these issues within the local community. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
