BeastLake 5K and Obstacle Course Races
Eastlake Community Church organizes the 8th Annual BeastLake 5K and Obstacle Course Races on Saturday July 4, 2026 at 1201 Timberwood Drive, Moneta, VA 24121. The event raises funds for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy and includes multiple course options for participants.
Distances offered:
- 3.1 Miles - Obstacle Course with 16 obstacles, timed
- 3.1 Miles - 5K Run Walk only
- 1.5 Miles - Family obstacle course with 10 obstacles
The 3.1 mile obstacle event is competitive and is timed, with overall and age group awards. The 1.5 mile obstacle event is non competitive and has no awards or ranking; family pricing is available for families of two or more. The competitive obstacle course will use multiple wave starts that participants can select.
The course is cross country and includes optional water features such as a slip and slide style water slide, a balance beam over an inflatable pool, and a section with sprinklers. Food trucks will be on site and registered participants in the obstacle 5K and the 5K run walk will receive food vouchers.
