SML Turkey Trot at Smith Mountain Lake State Park
The SML Turkey Trot takes place in Huddleston, Virginia, within the grounds of the Smith Mountain Lake State Park. Organized by LAT Wellness Studio, this event provides an opportunity for the community to participate in a running or walking activity on Thanksgiving Day. The race follows a scenic route composed primarily of asphalt surfaces.
Participants can choose between two distinct distances:
- 3.1 Miles (5k)
- 1 Mile
The event is designed to accommodate both runners and walkers, and children are encouraged to participate. A portion of the proceeds from the registration fees is donated to support the state park where the race is held. Participants who register by October 31st are guaranteed a shirt.
The event includes a competitive element with prizes awarded to top qualifiers among the runners.
