About the race
The Turkey Trot for Education is a Thanksgiving morning event in Pilesgrove that benefits the Woodstown-Pilesgrove School Foundation. It features a community 5K race and a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk open to all ages, held at Marlton Park Homan Pavilion, 123 Marlton Road, Pilesgrove, NJ 08098.

The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk is not timed, though participants start with the clock so they can view their times. The 5K awards top male and female finishers plus the top three finishers in 10-year age groups. Both courses include a Baked Potato Scavenger Hunt with prizes for runners who find a potato.
Race day registration and packet pick-up take place at the Upper Pavilion. Separate packet pick-up is scheduled on Nov. 26 at Farmers and Bankers Brewing, 8 N Main Street, Woodstown. Registration opens June 22, 2026 and closes November 25, 2026. Fees listed for the events are $30.00 for the 5K and $20.00 for the 1 Mile.
Additional event features at Farmers and Bankers Brewing include one free beer, seltzer, or soda included with 5K and 1 Mile registration, an awards ceremony with additional category prizes, and a related Turkey Flight activity at the brewery consisting of four laps with a 4oz drink between laps.
