Event Overview
The Beaconsfield 5 Mile Trail Run is a spring trail race held on Easter Monday. The event is hosted by Burnham Joggers, with the race headquarters and facilities located at the Beaconsfield Rugby Club. The course is a single 5-mile loop around the Hall Barn Estate, starting and finishing at the same point near the rugby club.
The Course
The route is on mixed terrain, with the first and last half-mile on tarmac. Trail shoes are recommended, but spiked shoes are not permitted. The course is marked with arrows, small flags, or tape, and is marshalled. Headphones are not recommended to ensure runners can hear marshal instructions.
Event Details
The race start line is 300 meters from the clubhouse and involves crossing a public road. A water station is provided at the start/finish area. There is no formal bag drop, but bags can be left in the designated bar area at the clubhouse at the runner's own risk. Portable toilets and a male urinal are available outside the clubhouse. The clubhouse offers drinks and snacks for purchase (card payment only, excluding American Express). Prize categories include awards for the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as age category winners (40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+).
Practical Information
Free all-day parking is available for participants at the nearby M40 service station, with a footbridge providing access to the race HQ. Limited parking is also available opposite the Rugby Club. Spectators are not permitted within the Hall Barn Estate grounds beyond the motorway bridge. Dogs must be kept on a lead and are not allowed on the farmland; any waste must be taken home. The event uses chip timing, with the chip attached to the back of the race number. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
