Race details
The race distance is 5 Miles run over a flat, two-lap course that uses local streets and parks and finishes on the athletics stadium track. Roads are not closed to traffic; runners must follow marshal instructions and take care around other road and pavement users. Runners must be at least 15 years of age on the day of the race.
Entry fees are £20 for affiliated runners and £22 for unaffiliated runners. There is a £200 prize bonus for breaking the male or female course record. Current course records are male 24:02 and female 27:16. The course has a Certificate of Course Accuracy: course number 19/164.
Toilets and changing facilities are available in the athletics clubhouse and the golf course clubhouse. A bag area will be provided but may not be manned; organisers accept no responsibility for belongings left in the athletics stadium. There are no water stations on the course; water will be available in the athletics stadium and at the finish line. The event will not provide giveaways this year to reduce environmental impact.
