Runaway Racing Invitational 10K
The Runaway Racing Invitational 10K is an end of season trail running championship at Wendover Woods on 6 December 2026. The competition distance is 10 km with around 295 m of elevation gain and a maximum field of 200 runners.
Entry is restricted to runners who finish within the top 20% at Runaway Racing events in 2026, to age category winners, and to event volunteers. The minimum age for entry is 16.
The route is on trail terrain and is fully marked with arrow markers and orange ribbons, with marshals at key turning points. Chip timing with live results is used and a bag drop is provided. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association (licence #8217) and is held under UKA rules.
The course is described as testing, with climbs and long descents. The route can be muddy, so trail running shoes are essential. A GPX file for the route is available and a Runner's Guide is listed as coming soon.
Prizes include overall trophies for the first male and female and awards for second, third and age category winners. Recorded course times include 00:39:41 (male record, 2025) and 00:46:10 (female record, 2025).
General entry is shown at £22 (£20 for UKA affiliated runners). The withdrawal policy issues 90% credits for cancellations made more than four weeks before the event; credits are redeemable once within 12 months, with exceptions for pregnancy.
