Runaway Racing Invitational 10K
The Runaway Racing Invitational 10K is a trail running championship held at Wendover Woods on 6 December 2026. The course is 10 km with approximately 295 m of elevation gain and is described as testing, with some steep climbs and long descents. The route surface is trail and the organisers advise trail running footwear due to likely mud.
The field is limited to 200 runners and the minimum age is 16. The race is licensed by the Trail Running Association (license number 8217) and is held under UKA rules. Navigation is provided by orange arrow markers and ribbons, with marshals at key turning points. A GPX file of the route and a runner's guide are available or will be provided.
Entry is by invitation. Qualifying criteria include finishing in the top 20 percent at Runaway Racing events during 2026, being an age category winner, or volunteering at events. Invitations are issued to qualifying runners after each race. General entry fees are listed at £25 or £23 for UKA affiliated runners; entries open 20 April 2026.
Event services include chip timing with live results, a bag drop, and prize awards for overall and age category placings. A withdrawal policy offers 90 percent credit for cancellations made more than four weeks before the race, with credits valid for 12 months.
