Beacon of Hope 5K Run/Walk at Montauk Lighthouse
Beacon of Hope is a 5K community run and walk held on June 20, 2026, at Montauk Lighthouse in Montauk, NY. The course finishes at the historic lighthouse and follows a route through Camp Hero. The event is the fifth annual edition and offers a single distance of 5K (3.1 Mile).
Registration fees vary by date: $30 from 12/1/25 to 4/14/26, $35 from 4/15/26 to 6/19/26, and $40 on race day. Entrants may register individually or as part of a team and can create fundraising pages.
Proceeds will be donated to two local women’s cancer organizations: Lucia’s Angels and the Coalition for Women’s Cancers. Lucia’s Angels supports women and families on Eastern Long Island with late stage women’s cancers. The Coalition for Women’s Cancers focuses on creating a local support network and emphasizes early detection and improved care for women affected by breast, ovarian, and uterine cancers.
Packet pick up is scheduled for June 19, 2026 at the race site, Montauk Lighthouse, with a listed pickup window of 7:30am - 8:30am. Parking is available at the Montauk Lighthouse; participants should arrive at the parking lot by 8:00am to avoid the New York State Park parking fee.
Awards are given to top overall male and female finishers, a top breast/gynecological cancer survivor, and the top three in multiple age groups. A raffle takes place after awards and winners must be present to claim prizes. The event has a no refund policy; transfers require a $20 fee or may be deferred by volunteering.
