Beacon of Hope 5K Run/Walk
The Beacon of Hope 5K is scheduled for June 20, 2026 at Montauk Lighthouse in Montauk, New York. The event is a 5K (3.1 mile) run/walk that follows a course through Camp Hero and finishes at the historic Montauk Lighthouse.
Proceeds support two local Long Island organizations focused on women’s cancers: Lucia’s Angels and the Coalition for Women’s Cancers. Participants may register individually or as part of a team and can create fundraising pages.
Registration fees are tiered by date: $30 from December 1, 2025 to April 14, 2026; $35 from April 15, 2026 to June 19, 2026; and $40 on race day. Packet pick-up takes place the day before the race at the race site.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers, a first place breast/gynaecological cancer survivor award, and top three in multiple age group categories. An awards ceremony and a raffle occur after the final finisher; raffle winners must be present to claim prizes. Awards may be shipped after the event if a prepaid postage envelope is provided.
The event has a no refund policy. Entries may be transferred for a $20 fee if transferred at least 30 days before the race; volunteering can also be used to defer entry. The event producer may delay, modify, or cancel the event if conditions are unsafe, with no refund in such cases.
