Beachborough & Brackley Triathlon
The Beachborough & Brackley Triathlon is hosted at Stowe School in Buckingham. This event is affiliated with Triathlon England and serves as a part of the South Central Triathlon Series. The competition takes place on the school grounds, utilizing a 25m pool for the swim segment and grass courses for both the cycling and running disciplines.
The event offers several individual categories based on age groups:
- TriStar (8 years): 50m swim, 1km bike, and 600m run.
- TriStar 1 (9-10 years): 150m swim, 2km bike, and 1.2km run.
- TriStar 2 (11-12 years): 200m swim, 4km bike, and 1.8km run.
- TriStar 3 (13-14 years): 300m swim, 5km bike, and 2.4km run.
- Youth (15-16 years): 300m swim, 6km bike, and 3km run.
In addition to individual races, the event features a 4 x Relay competition designed for teams of four. These relays use shorter distances, typically involving a 50m to 100m swim, a 1km bike lap, and a 600m run lap.
The venue includes an expo area with food and refreshment stands. Participants receive a goody bag at registration, and trophies are awarded to top finishers in various categories. All participants must hold a British Triathlon membership or a race pass to compete. A designated car park is located 200m from the school building.
