Course and support

The route visits Ashridge, Ivinghoe Beacon, Coombe Hill and Whiteleaf Hill and uses sections of The Ridgeway National Trail. The current course measures about 51km due to local HS2 road and footpath closures. There are three full checkpoints at approximately 15km, 29km and 43km; extra satellite water points may be added in hot weather. Aid stations provide water, coke, electrolyte drinks, gels, chews, snacks, flapjacks and fresh fruit.

Runners must carry required kit for the whole race, including a mobile phone, a GPX route on watch or phone plus the provided paper map, a light jacket or emergency blanket, a refillable hydration system (minimum 0.5L), a collapsible cup and cash or bank card. The event base has temporary toilets, pop-up changing tents and finish refreshments. Coach transfers to the start and back are offered. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers and in multiple age categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
