Events
Participants can choose from three events:
- A timed 10K run.
- A timed 5K run/walk.
- A non-timed 1 mile walk.
Course and Features
The courses for the 5K and 10K take place along the Potomac River in Colonial Beach, Virginia. The terrain is described as flat. Races are chip-timed, and results are live-streamed. Awards are presented for the top three overall finishers and the top three in each age group for both the 5K and 10K races. Age groups include Under 14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, and subsequent decades.
Registration and Amenities
Registration includes a quality event shirt, available in women's, adult/men's, and youth sizes. An upgrade to a long-sleeve shirt is available for an extra fee. All participants also receive a custom beer glass. A snack is provided at the finish line, and water stations are available on the course and at the finish. Free parking is provided, and participants can download photos from the event for free. The race operates rain or shine, with no refunds or deferrals. Strollers are permitted on the course.
After-Party
Post-race activities feature a beer garden with local craft beer from Colonial Beach Brewing & Ice House Brewery, as well as non-alcoholic options. There will be live music, an on-site food truck, and various lawn games. Participants are encouraged to bring their own beach chairs or blankets to relax in the waterfront park.
