Battle of Salado Creek Running Event
The Battle of Salado Creek is the second race in the four-part 2026 Alamo Beer Series Challenge. It takes place on September 12, 2026 at Lady Bird Johnson Park on Nacogdoches Road in San Antonio, Texas.
The event offers several distances:
- 13.1-mile half marathon
- 10-mile run
- 5-mile run
- 5k run
- A 5k walk-only category
- A 0.05k fun run
A virtual participation option is available for most distances. The event includes a gender-specific tech shirt for participants. It is connected to fundraising efforts for organizations like marrow match and the San Antonio Amputee Foundation.
The race is part of a series intended to help runners prepare for the San Antonio Rock 'n' Roll Marathon or the BCS Marathon. Post-race food and beer are mentioned as part of the series experience. Awards are given for first overall male and female, first overall masters, and first through fourth place in numerous age categories. Participants aged 16 and under, as well as those 70 and over, receive a 50% registration discount. Online course maps are provided for each distance.
