The Battle of Salado Creek is Race 2 of the 2026 Alamo Beer Series Challenge. It takes place on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Lady Bird Johnson Park, Nacogdoches Road, San Antonio, TX (10700 Nacogdoches Rd, 78217). The event includes both in-person and virtual options.

Standard entry fees listed in the event information include: 13.1 mile $99, 10 mile $60, 5 mile $50, 5k $45. The event also lists separate registration prices that include mandatory charges. Virtual entries are available and packet mailing is offered for an additional charge (listed as $12 per packet at the time of the notice). Packet pickup is available on the Saturday of the event and on race day at the race start location until the start of each race.
Competition, awards and policies
Age categories are listed from 14 and under up to 90+. Awards are given to first overall male and female and first overall masters male and female; age group awards are based on chip time and are awarded 1st through 4th. The organizer states there are no refunds. Transfers incur fees and are not allowed after race day. A 50% discount is automatically applied for participants aged 16 and younger; a similar discount is noted for participants aged 70 and older.
