The Battle of Salado Creek is Race 2 of the Alamo Beer Series Challenge 2026. It takes place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Lady Bird Johnson Park on Nacogdoches Road in San Antonio, TX. Course maps are published for each distance.

Format and logistics
The event uses chip timing and starts runners in waves; age group awards are based on chip time. Awards include first overall male and female, first overall masters male and female, and age-group awards for 1st through 4th. Walkers must check in at the timing table and declare walker status to be placed in the walking category.
Packet pickup is available the day before and on race day at the race start location. Virtual participants can run on their own and may request packet mailing for an additional fee (listed as $12 per packet at the time of posting). Registration includes options for in-person, virtual, and fundraising-only entries. There are no refunds; transfers incur fees ($20 two days before the race, $30 the day before), and transfers are not permitted after race day. A 50% registration discount applies automatically for participants 16 and younger and for those 70 and older. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
