Battle of Salado Creek
The Battle of Salado Creek takes place on September 12, 2026, at LBJ Park (Lady Bird Johnson Park) in San Antonio, Texas. It is race 2 of 4 in the Alamo Beer Series Challenge and uses the park greenway for its courses. A finisher party is planned following the races.
Distances offered include:
- 13.1 miles (half marathon)
- 10 mile
- 5 mile
- 5k
- .05k
Entry fees are listed per distance: 13.1 $99, 10 mile $60, 5 mile $50, 5k $45, .05k $45. Fees increase by $5 at 15 days before and by another $5 at 5 days before; race day entries incur an additional $10.
Packet pickup is available at Fleet Feet San Antonio, Culebra Commons, on Friday, September 11. Race day pickup is also available beginning at 4:30 p.m. All finishers will receive a medal. Awards are given 1st through 4th for all distances, with detailed age categories from 14 and under up to 90+. First overall and masters awards are based on gun time; age-group awards are based on chip time due to wave starts.
The event has a no-refund policy. Transfers or race changes incur a fee of $20, $30 the day before the race, and no transfers are allowed after race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
