Battle of Salado Creek : Alamo Beer Series Challenge Race 2 of 4
This event is the second race in the 2026 Alamo Beer Series Challenge. It takes place on September 12, 2026 at Lady Bird Johnson Park on Nacogdoches Road in San Antonio, TX. The race program includes multiple distance options and both in person and virtual participation.
Distances offered include:
- 13.1 mile half marathon
- 10 mile
- 5 mile
- 5k
- 0.05k fun run and separate 5k walk category
Packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2026 and race day pickup is available at the race start location. Virtual runners may complete their distance on their own schedule; the organizer prefers switches to virtual be made by the Thursday before the race. Packet mailing is available for a stated fee.
Entry fees vary by distance; standard published fees list the half marathon and shorter distances with a base price structure and require surcharges if registered late. A 50 percent discount is available for participants age 16 and under and for participants age 70 and older; additional discount codes should not be used with these offers.
Results use chip timing and age group awards are determined by chip time. Awards include first overall male and female and first overall masters male and female, with age group prizes through fourth place. The event lists several local and regional sponsors.
