Battle of Salado Creek : Race 2 of the Alamo Beer Series Challenge
This event takes place at Lady Bird Johnson Park on Nacogdoches Road in San Antonio, Texas, on September 12, 2026. It is the second race of the Alamo Beer Series Challenge and includes in-person and virtual options as well as a fundraising-only entry.
Distances offered:
- 13.1 mile half marathon
- 10 mile run
- 5 mile run
- 5k run and a 5k walk-only option
- 0.05k fun run
Packet pickup is scheduled on the day before the race and on race day at the start location. Course maps are available for each distance. Registration fees vary by distance; published base fees include examples such as 13.1 for $99, 10 mile for $60, 5 mile for $50, and 5k for $45. Age discounts apply: participants 16 and younger, and participants aged 70 and older, receive a 50 percent discount.
Awards include first overall male and female, first overall masters male and female, and age-group awards for 1st through 4th based on chip time. Virtual entrants may run on their own schedule and may request mailed packets for an additional fee. The event policy states there are no refunds; transfers incur fees and are not permitted after race day.
