Event Overview
The Battle of Hillotes is a running event scheduled for October 10, 2026, in Helotes, Texas. It is the third race in the 2026 Alamo Beer Challenge series.
Race Distances
Participants can register for the following distances:
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles, USATF certified)
- 10k
- 5k
Additional options include a 5k Walk Only and a .05k Fun Run. Virtual race versions are available for the half marathon, 10k, and 5k.
Course and Location
The event starts and finishes at the Shops at Old Town Helotes, located at 14391 Old Bandera Road. The course is hilly, as Helotes is situated in the Texas Hill Country, a region known for elevation changes.
Post-Race Activities and Awards
After the race, food and beer are provided. Awards are presented for first overall male and female finishers, first overall masters, and age group categories from 14 and under to 90 and over. Awards are based on chip time.
Registration and Discounts
Registration fees increase closer to the race date. Discounts of 50% are available for participants aged 16 and younger, and for those 70 and older.
Fundraising and Sponsors
