Battle of Hillotes event
The Battle of Hillotes is Race 3 of the 2026 Alamo Beer Challenge, held on October 10, 2026, at Shops at Old Town Helotes on Old Bandera Road in Helotes, Texas. The event offers multiple distances on routes around the Helotes area near the start of the Texas Hill Country.

Course maps are provided for each distance. The event is described as a hilly course intended for runners to practice race day procedures and to test gear, pacing, heart rate, and stamina on inclines typical of the area. Post-race food and beer will be available. The event uses chip timing and age group awards are based on chip time. Age categories cover youth through 90 plus and first overall and masters awards are included. Standard fee structure and discounts are noted, including a 50 percent discount for participants 16 and younger and for participants aged 70 and older.
