About the race
The Battle of Hillotes is a road-race event held on October 10, 2026 in Old Town Helotes, Texas, on the northern outskirts of San Antonio near the Texas Hill Country. It is Race 3 of 4 in the Alamo Beer Series Challenge. The event offers multiple distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10k
- 5k
- .05k
The half marathon course is USATF certified. The course description notes rolling terrain with one notable climb where elevation rises as the route approaches the Hill Country. A post-race celebration in Old Town Helotes follows the runs.
All finishers receive a medal; participants who complete all four series races receive an additional series medal. Awards for 5k and 10k include places 1st through 4th. Age-group categories run from 14 and under up to 90 plus. First overall, masters, and super masters awards are based on gun time. All age-group awards are based on chip time because the race uses wave starts.
Packet pickup is available at Fleet Feet San Antonio in Culebra Commons on the Friday before the race and also on race day at the event location. Entry fees vary by distance, with listed prices for the half marathon, 10k, 5k, and .05k; late and race-day pricing surcharges apply. The event has a no-refund policy.
