Battle in the Brew is a team-based fitness event held at Wylam Brewery, Newcastle on Sunday 17 May 2026. After a sell-out debut with over 500 attendees and 200 competitors, the event returns to the Grand Hall for an evening programme that goes under the lights. It is described as not a standard Hyrox event and combines ergs, functional workouts and running relays in a fast-paced environment.

Participants compete in teams of six. Registration is available individually or as a full team. Individual registrants are allocated into a team of six; established teams are created by a team captain and joined by members individually. Each team must include a minimum of two female members. The specific workout format will be announced in the build-up to the event.

Heats run in waves throughout the evening, with multiple heats scheduled. The event features ergs, functional fitness zones, running relays, a live DJ set, brand partners and goody bags. The venue is described as one of Newcastle’s notable locations and the event is presented as an evening community occasion where competitors may stay for food and drinks after competing.
