Battle in the Brewery
Battle in the Brew 2026: Under the Lights returns to Wylam Brewery in Newcastle on Sunday 17 May 2026. The event is a team based fitness competition that combines ergs, functional workouts and running relays inside the Grand Hall. After a sell-out debut the previous year with over 500 attendees and 200 competitors, organisers increased capacity with more heats and more tickets.
Teams consist of six members. Entrants may sign up individually and be allocated into a team of six, or enter as a full team. Each team must include a minimum of two female members. The workout format will be announced in the build-up and heats will run in waves across the evening.
The programme includes multiple heats, functional fitness zones, running relays, a live DJ set, brand partners and goody bags. Puma and Start Fitness will run mini competitions and there is a Puma shake out run before the event. Participants who compete can remain afterwards for food, drinks and socialising at the venue.
